I believe in authenticity, in being unafraid to be exactly who you are. That’s why I’m the worm.
So in the spirit of authenticity, let me tell you a little more about me.
I received my Master’s in Journalism from Columbia University, where I trained in news and narrative nonfiction writing. I have six years of fundraising and communications experience working for social impact organizations focusing on advocacy, education, and healthcare.
I am strategy-driven. I’m most creative when a problem needs solving, or an unconventional story is begging for the right audience.
I’m a teammate. I thrive in collaborative settings where ideas are openly exchanged, and coworkers support one another.
I listen. One of the best tools journalism school gave me was the ability to be a good listener. Yes, a journalist asks questions and digs for answers, but usually, the best discoveries come from first being a quiet observer.
I believe in constructive criticism, nothing we do is perfect on the first try, and we all have something to learn from one another.
The book that changed my life was Cheryl Strayed’s Tiny Beautiful Things.
My guiltiest pleasure is re-watching my favorite romantic comedies multiple times a year (sometimes multiple times a week).
I like to cook when I’m stressed, and feeding my friends and family is one of my favorite pastimes.
If I sound like someone you’d like on your team, give me a call!
