At the pandemic's peak, I was excited to develop an e-newsletter introducing educators and administrators to the benefits of Junior Achievement's unique financial literacy program that teaches students as young as six about personal finance and business.
During this terrifying time—learning had gone virtual, student engagement and attendance were at an all-time low, and we were in a recession—it was important for young people to know that when the health crisis was over, they still had a successful future ahead of them. Junior Achievement's primary and secondary school curriculum was doing that and more. It decreased absenteeism, increased student engagement, and inspired young entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams.
